Description of Elective Experience:
The student will observe in a specialty referral dentistry and oral surgery practice. The student will receive instruction on oral examination, dental radiography interpretation, and treatment planning.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Fully equipped and staffed private practice with board certified veterinary dentists and certified veterinary technicians.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Student will shadow the veterinary dentist and assist during surgical procedures four days per week. One day per week, the student is encouraged to practice dental radiography positioning.
