Description of Elective Experience:
Student will be allowed to participate in routine well pet exam appointments, urgent care\emergency appointments, physical exams, scrub in on surgeries and dental procedures. If comfortable, student will be allowed to do spay\neuters on the local shelter dogs\cats.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
6 full time doctor practice with around 40 support\reception staff. Digital radiology\dental radiology, ultrasound, ortho and soft tissue surgery, endoscopy, and emergency on-call hours.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
We are open 7 days a week with extended weekday hours. Student will be expected to be present 4-5 days\week from 8-5:30 but may stay as long as they'd like.
