Our senior DVM has lectured at 5 veterinary colleges on alternative medicine and presented at AVCA conference. She also taught at Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Student will participate in patient intakes, hospital care, and treatments of both alternative and conventional cases. We see a high volume caseload and students will have the opportunity to observe response to therapy and see pets for follow up care. Student responsibilities vary, based on experience level and capabilities. Students will work closely with staff DVMs and participate in medicine, surgery, and dentistry, in addition to integrative therapies. Students will work with all 5 DVMs, at 3 locations. We see our own ER cases; students will come into the office for ER assisting.
Student housing is free of charge, on site. A pet may be possible, pending clearance by management (size and temperament are considerations). A vehicle is recommended, because we have 3 facilities.
