Small animal general practice with small percentage exotics (reptiles, pocket pets, birds). In-house laboratory including bloodwork, urinalyses, complete fecal examinations, cytology, etc. On-site diagnostics including digital radiography and ultrasound. Many advanced surgical procedures performed in-house as well as orthopedic procedures (TPLO) performed in-house by traveling surgeon.
Two licensed veterinarians, two full time registered veterinary technicians, two full time veterinary assistants (one completed a vet tech program), two full time receptionists, one full time practice manager, one full time groomer, 4 part time pet attendants/assistants (these employees manage the boarding facility and assist medical staff).
Student will be expected to assist/shadow Dr. Heather Cormany 9 am to 6 pm (sometimes later) Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as well as alternating Saturdays 9 am to 12 pm. Additional days may be recommended based on specific cases or procedures with particular educational interest to be performed outside of this schedule.
