Student will be exposed to all aspects of private practice including routine wellness examinations, sick, urgent, and emergency appointments, soft tissue surgery of all varieties, acupuncture, and dentistry.
We have a full in house lab, digital radiology, LASER therapy, and ultrasound. Doctors have regular discussions about cases. Students are encouraged to bring topics/cases/articles for discussion. We have 6-7 doctors available for mentoring providing a broad perspective. We have numerous technicians who are also available for gentle guidance for technical skills.
Students will be required to work 36-40 hours/week including some evenings and weekend hours. Initially they will be shadowing the other doctors, but during the course of the externship they will be be seeing appointments and performing dental procedures and general surgeries under direct supervision.
Housing is offered at no cost. The housing is a room in the home of the owners of the hospital. Private room, private bathroom. Sharing common spaces. No pets as we have 5 of our own.
