Participates in daily work at a reproductive specialty practice - ovulation timing, AI (almost exclusively transcervical), semen collection and evaluation, semen cryopreservation, infertility workups (male and female), pregnancy exams and high risk pregnancy monitoring, whelping and dystocia, pyometra, postpartum care, neonatal care.
5 doctor practice - 4 GP, 1 reproductive specialist, 7 CVT, 5 assistants, 5 customer care, 2 kennel. U/S, digital radiography, anesthetic monitoring and ventilators, laparascopic and endoscopic equipment, acupuncture, surgery.
Will shadow specialist but will be able to get hands on experience with ultrasound and patient care. Will be able to scrub into surgery, assist with patient procedures, work on microscope skills, etc. Will always be supervised by DVM or CVT. Hours are MWF 10:00 - 6; TR 10-7; Sa 10-5, few hours on Sunday are also possible. Will be expected to research topics seen in clinics that day and be able to discuss the following day.
