Description of Elective Experience: 

Suburban Small Animal (mostly cat/dog with some exotic pets) general practice.  Outpatient wellness and treatment of disease.  Soft tissue surgical procedures and dentistry.  AAHA Accredited practice. AAHA Accredited Practice of the Year 2013. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.: 

Four Veterinarians (3 VMDs and 1 DVM), Past AAHA President - MAH Owner, 9 CVT nursing team, CVPM/MBA Hospital Administrator 

Equipment: 5 Exam Rooms, Surgical laser, digital radiology including dental xray, Ultrasound, Cornerstone Software. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

Obsereve the veterinarians in either outpatient or surgical/dental procedures.  Discuss cases and treatment protocols.  Follow patient cases as they progress.  September 19-24, 2022, following Dr. Keehner and Dr. Boyer's regular schedule approximately 8 hours / day, exact times TBD.
