Description of Elective Experience:
Ambulatory equine only practice, concentrating in racetrack and sports medicine, but also seeing every day equine cases and emergencies
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
2 veterinarians, 2 veterinary assistants, 2 office staff; DR and ultrasound
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
40ish hours/week, no emergency coverage, M-F weekends very rare, will be allowed to do more non-invasive techniques and assist veterinarians
