We offer the following services that students will participate in:
- Complete medical and preventative health care individualized for each patient
- Behavioral counseling and low stress handling
- Nutritional counseling
- Occular Pressure testing
- Electrocardiograms
- Consulting services with cardiologists, an orthopedic surgeon and radiologists
- In-house pharmacy stocked with over 200 different medications
- Exotic animal care, including rabbits, ferrets, rodents and small birds
The doctors and staff at Bartels Busack Pet Hospital Resort & Spa are dedicated to the care and health of our guests. We have a team of 4 veterinarians and 25 health care providers who have over 48 years of experience in animal care.
We carefully screen the medical history, provide in-depth physical exams and correlate laboratory and diagnostic medical imaging (i.e. ultrasound and digital xray) on every patient to make sure they have the highest of medical care.
Our equipment includes: In-House blood chemistry analizers, ultrasound, digitial dental radiographs, computed radiography, videoscopes, advanced microscopes,Class IV Laser therapy, and electrocautery
Students will be working one on one with Dr. Ronald Busack as a full time veterinarian in our small animal practice. Students hours will vary depending on the supervisor doctors' schedule, which can include weekend and evening hours.
