We expect students to take part in all aspects of a busy small animal practice. This would involve assisting doctors in the exam rooms, subsequent case workup, active discussion and input on differential diagnoses. The students are also expected to help the technicians as needed in order to solidify their technical skills that will be required in practice. Externs will also scrub in and assist in surgeries.
We are a full service hospital that strives to provide quality animal care with integrity. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, digital radiograpy (including dental), complete orthopedic and soft tissue surgery suite, cutting and therapeutic lasers, tonometry, ultrasounds. Staffing by experienced veterinarians, RVT's and veterinary assistants.
We expect students to be available 4-5 days/week, 8 hours per day.
We expect a great attitude and desire to learn and share knowledge.
We will make every attempt to provide temporary housing for students, but do not have a designated location at this time.
