If you are looking for an ideal place to learn, consider an internship with Cambria Veterinary Care. We are a rapidly growing small and exotic animal practice located in the Laurel Highlands of West Central PA. We are seeking to mentor a motivated veterinary student in small and exotic animal general medicine and surgery.
Our friendly and experienced team currently consists of three veterinarians, three licensed veterinary technicians, ten veterinary assistants, five receptionists, an office manager and a hospital manager. With in-house laboratory, ultrasound, radiology, dental and surgical facilities, we provide complete care for a variety of small animals including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets, and occasionally amphibians. As the preeminent exotic practice in the area, approximately 20% of our patients are exotic animals.
We offer students free housing and parking in a newly renovated apartment on site. The Laurel Highlands is a destination for outstanding outdoor recreation including hiking, kayaking, biking, hunting, and skiing. The city of Johnstown is rich in history and cultural activities including ballet, symphony, museums, college and semi-pro sports, and Pittsburgh is only 60 miles away.
With friendly and knowledgeable staff, free housing, flexible work hours and the ability to work with a large volume and variety of medical and surgical patients, Cambria Veterinary Care is an excellent choice for an internship or summer employment.
