Description of Elective Experience:
Poultry Medicine with the largest integrator in the USA. The extern will learn side by side with staff veterinarians all aspects of modern broiler production starting with primary breeders through broilers and processing. Staff veterinarians have over 100 years of combined experience in poultry medicine.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Tyson Foods shall provide all needed materials for field visits. All staff veterinarians are licensed and accredited in states in which we do business.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
7am-5pm Monday thru Friday and emergencies if need be.
