Description of Elective Experience:
Mostly observational externship of large equine only private practice
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Large equine hospital with up to date equipment and large number of staff
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
40 hours minimum but since this is a mostly observational externship, they more they are present, the more they will learn. The weekends are usually free for them to enjoy but occasionally a clinician will ask for some help
Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info):
No cost for housing. Students are responsible for their own food and transportation, no pets. House includes kitchen, laundry facility and five bedrooms, wifi connection and is on the grounds with the hospital
