Description of Elective Experience:
Mixed animal practice in a semi rural area. Small animal general practice and large animal ambulatory and haul in.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Three DVM's on staff, in house radiology, lab, general surgery, dentistry, hospitalization and intensive care. Large animal radiology and ultrasound.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and 8am to 12pm Saturdays. Active participant in small animal rounds/ small animal appointments and basic surgeries (spays and neuters). Large animal wellness, reproduction, and basic illnesses.
