Description of Elective Experience:
Full service general small animal hospital serving a variety of medical and surgical needs. Student will participate in the exam room and in routine general surgeries.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
We have surgical and therapeutic laser therapy, electrocautery unit, in-house ultrasound, automated fecal/urinalyzer.
We have 30 minute appointments to allow for student participation in the practice.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Full time five days/week, students will be involved in all aspects of the practice. Students will be mentored by two full-time veterinarians with years of clinical experience.
