Description of Elective Experience:
Small animal GP - mix of routine and sick pet appointments, dentistry, routine surgery.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
3.5 FTE DVM, 3 LVT, variety of levels of additional support staff.
Midmark Dental units. Digital dental radiography, digital radiology, Idexx in-house lab suite. AVImark EMR.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Hours to be determined - likely Mon-Thurs 8a-6pm, but can do Mon-Fri shorter days if better. Likely primarily shadowing but will provide opportunity for student to practice skills and procedures.
