Description of Elective Experience:
The Altizer Veterinary Clinic is a rural mixed practice. There is one veterinarian on staff. We perform a large number of elective surguries, working with a rescue organization (H.O.P.E.)as well as client surguries.Small animal appiontments are scheduled in the afternoons from 1-5 .Surguries are done in the morning. Large animal calls are done late afternoon or after surgury in the morning.There are also small animal hours saturday from 8-12.

The clinic has digital radiograph, ultrasound.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,Friday from 8-5 Saturday 8-12. Student will be shadowing and assisting with all aspects of the clinic.
