The veterinary student would have the opportunity to work at this high volume small animal practice under the supervision of three practioners with over 75 years of clinical experience. Students would have exposure to routine preventiative visits, medical cases, soft tissue surgery, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray. ulta-sound, accupuncture, and on-site labratory services. Students would have the opportunity to be fully engaged with all aspects of the patient care as well as client interactions.
There are three full time veterinarians, two veterinary technicians, and many veterinary assisatnts. The clinic is computerized and maintains on-site laboratory equipment, digital radiography, digitial dental radiography, ultrasound and soft tissue surgery.
We would encourage the student to work a 40-hour week to gain the most from the shadowing/mentoring experience. We are happy to work iwith the student relative to the amount of time they spend in the rotation (e.g., 1-week, 2-weeks)
Student housing is provided. One small pet would be permitted to accompany student.
