Description of Elective Experience:
Student will be involved in working with our DVMs in all facets of practice -- appointments, surgery, rehabilitation, acupuncture,emergency medicine, etc -- she will be encouraged to assist at whatever level is comfortable.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
We are a large (9 DVM) full service, 24 hour hospital; we see emergencies 24/7/365. We are fully equipped with full in house lab, digital regular and dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and a full rehabilitation unit with underwater and dry treadmills.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
She can work as many as 12 hours a day; preference would be a minimum of 8-10. Shadowing and actual support assistance as the opportunity arises,
