A student will have the opportunity to be involved in the inner workings of our practice including, but not limited to:
- Physical exam
- Client education
- Hospitalized cases
- Internal medicine cases
- Advanced case work-up
- Diagnostic/treatment plan development
- Advanced dental procedures
- Performing surgical procedures
We have a mobile Ultrasound DVM that we utilize frequently, and On the Spot Veterinary Surgeons in clinic as needed for advanced orthopedic procedures.
**Business** - Students interested in Business will have the opportunity to attend marketing, leadership, financial, and team meetings.
Staffing- 3 DVM, 4 RVN, 3 Vet assistant, 3 Vet assistant/RVN student, 2 Vet Assistant/DVM Students, 3 Client Care Representatives, and 1 Hospital Director.
Equipment- otoscope, ophthalmoscope, full Idexx suite, dental unit, digital full body and dental radiology, fully equipped surgical suite, fluid pumps, ultrasound, and access to internist for ultrasonography and echos.
35-40 hours per week spread over 5-6 days depending on student's desire. Experience will be a mix of shadowing and actual support depending on clinicians comfort with student's skill and aptitude.
