Description of Elective Experience:
Students will be allowed to complete veterinary skills that they are comfortable with that are agreed upon by the client, DVM and student. Experience will include mainly small animal and some large animal farm calls excluding equine.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
We are a 4 doctor practice with a full staff in one location. We have on-site ultrasound, digital radiograph and other common veterinary supplies.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Dress appropriately, interact with clients, give advice, complete physical exams and interact with clients as deemed necessary.
Hours are flexible and can be agreed upon in each sitatuion.. we have evening hours 3 days a week and Saturdays until noon.
We give each student the flexibility to learn and do what they and we are comfortable with.
