Description of Elective Experience:
Experience with aquatic veterinary clinical practice in commersial fish-farms, maunly Atlantic salmon and also cod, lumpfish, wrasse.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
In company we are more than 60 aquatic medicine professionals; veterinarians and aquamedicine biologists. At local office we are appr. 5 vets and 5 aquamedicine biologists.
We have basic equipment for clinical practice, and we send samples to professional labs for further diagnostics.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Full week = 37,5 hours. Longer days / weeks must be expected. Activities will vary from day to day.
