Description of Elective Experience:
Assist with patient monitoring and treatments
Refine physical examination techniques and observational skills
Participate in rounds
Observe surgeries and major medical cases
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:

1 boarded internist
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
The student will assist with monitoring and performing designated treatments with direct supervison daily with the weekends being variable depending on the case load. Assisting and observing after hours emergencies and on the weekends is strongly encouraged to maximize learning.
