Description of Elective Experience:
Our practice is located in a referral center that includes Internal Medicine, Surgery Practice, 24 hour Emergency center and RadioCat. Our caseload averages 70 to 100 clients and 4 to 8 surgeries weekly
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
I have a support staff of Veterinary technicians and assistants. Equipment includes slit lamps, indirect ophthalmoscopes, cataract surgery equipment, Co2 laser, electroretinogram
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8am-5pm, and Friday 9am-5pm. The student will primarily shadow but will also be able to evaluate cases
