Animal Health Services, AZ

Description of Elective Experience:

Animal Health Services is located in Cave Creek Arizona which is the Northern most part of Scottsdale.  We have been mentoring students through our hospital for the last 5 years.  Externs can expect to see a wide variety of cases from Wellness Exams to Emergency Care.  We have dedicated one doctor from our 6 doctor team to directly oversee the extern during their time here.  The extern will shadow the doctor in the exam rooms, assist in out patient surgeries and dental procedures.  We are well equipped and externs will be exposed to Digital Dental Radiology, Digital Radiology, Surgical Laser and Radiosurgical Units, Cold Laser, VOM, CT Scan, Ultrasound and Endoscopy.  The demographics of our clients allow us to practice a high standard of medicine and we are happy to utilize our equipment and our knowledge to provide the best care possible.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
