Student will work with veterinary associates to perform physical exams, make diagnostic recommendations, discuss results and cases, and establish patient treatment plans. Students will get to work on clinical skills, as well as work on aspects of communication in veterinary medicine. Students will also be able to participate in surgical and dental cases, as deemed appropriate.
4 staff DVMs, 4 RVTs, numerous other staff. Fully equipped small animal practice - paperless records, digital radiology, full in-house laboratory, CT machine, surgical laser, cold laser. Medical books and VIN access.
Hospital is open Monday-Friday 8a-5p with extended hours Wednesday until 7pm. Student will work within those hours to cover required externship hours. We encourage students to be as interactive as they would like and support them through the experience.
