Description of Elective Experience:
Full service small animal, exotic and reptile medicine and surgery including laser surgery. We don't need to refer too many cases as we also have a board certified surgeon perform most specialty procedures including TPLO's.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
We offer all routine procedures as well as ultrasonography, laser therapy, laser surgery, digital radiography and Abaxis blood analyzers in-house. Intravet OS used by all staff.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
We are open M-Sat and we can tailor hours to your schedule to give you up to 40 hours in any given week. You can follow and observe the doctor with some hands on experience based on student's level of comfort performing procedures and conversing with clientele.
