ASPCA Adoption Center Externship, NY

Description of Elective Experience:

The ASPCA Adoption Center serves animals who need us the most. We provide care to dogs and cats coming in through the NYPD or our community engagement team, those with high medical or behavioral needs, and animals like neonatal kittens who take a bit more time before being adopted. Join the ASPCA Adoption Center's team of skilled medical, behavior, and other professionals to gain hands-on shelter medicine experience. Externs will learn how to provide holistic care for individual animals and the overall shelter population. You'll also discover how shelter medicine supports animal health in the community.
