Description of Elective Experience: 

Student will have direct mentorship from DVM while practicing bovine medicine and field surgery.  Emphasis will be on palpation and use of ultrasound for reproductive diagnostics.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.: 

3 full time ambulatory large animal veterinarians and use of portable ultrasound unit.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

Student will work with veterinarian from start of work day 6-7am until end of day (typically by 4 pm) M-F weekdays and weekends available if student is interested.  Shadowing and participation if veterinarian deems appropriate.
