Description of Elective Experience:
Our clinic regularly hosts veterinary students. We offer Internal Medicine, Dentistry and emergency opportunities. This is an excellent oppoprtunity for a hands-on experience in a fast paced multi-disciplinary clinic.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
We have 4 specialists , 3 emergency doctors, 25 technicians and a full reception staff. State of the art hospital includes ultrasound, CT, MRI and well equipped surgical suite including digital radiology and all patient monitoring and support equipment. Extensive reference library available to all.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Students take an active role in the diagnostics and care of patients. They are supervised by a veterinarian at all times and expected to work 40 hours per week. days and shifts to be determined.
