Description of Elective Experience:
Students shadow a coach doctor and are considered a doctor in training with 100% of the time foacused on learning objectsives and goals selected by the extern.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Para support are available for the coach doctor and extern during both in room appointments and surgical schedules.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
The student typically shadows the coach doctor schedule with 5 days per week and approximately 40-45 hours per week.
