Description of Elective Experience:
Student will be exposed to all facets of day-to-day small animal general practice. She will be with either myself or any of the other 3 full time DVM's while we navigate days of surgery (soft tissue, dentistry, etc.), medicine, etc.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
4 Full time Dr.'s, ~12 rotating support staff, 4 exam rooms, surgical suite, high-speed dental machine, digital dental radiographs, DDR x-ray, IDEXX Catalyst 1 chemistry machine, Abaxis hematology machine, etc.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Student will treated as a full time (40hr/wk) coaching DVM - i.e. will get to shadow, participate in case work-ups, surgery, etc.
