Student will pair with a doctor on staff for the day and will shadow in exam rooms and assist in surgeries. Medical and surgical cases will be reviewed from history to outcome. Student will interact with all staff members and with clients associated with any patient the student is involved with. The experience will be as interactive and fully encompassing as possible.
IDEXX is used for labwork with capability of in house bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal floatation, and ear/skin cytology. Full body digital radiography with access to Telemed. Full dentistry equipment including digital radiography. Well equiped surgery area with monitoring including blood pressure, ECG, spO2, etCO2, temperature. Cornerstone is the medical record software, and there is anytime access to VIN and email.
Hours of operation are 7:30am to 7:00pm Monday through Friday and 8:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
