Extensive hands on experience with one to four ambulatory equine veterinarians. Experience will include all areas of equine veterinary medicine ranging from wellness to extensive lameness.
Bella Vista has four full time veterinarians, each of which travel with a vet tech, and a five stall hospital for haul-ins and patients. Equipment on hand includes digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, shock wave, Equinosis and power float.
Student will ride with a veterinarian each day, five to 6 days a week. They will be at the mercy of the veterinarians schedule. There will be possibility of emergency calls with the vet on call and overnight patient care for critical patients. Student will have many hands-on opportunity.
A bunk room and full bath are available at no cost to student. Refrigerator space and a microwave are available as well. Due to animals already on premises, we ask that students leave their pets at home.
