Description of Elective Experience:
90% Equine, 10% small animal hospital providing both primary care and referral care. Externs will observe and assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics and treatments.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Digital radiography and ultrasound, endoscopy, digital dental radiography for small animal, shockwave, IRAP, PRP, CBC machine, chemistry machine, IStat, SAA, four ambulatory trucks, 6 licensed technicians, two veterinary interns, six associate veterinarians
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
10-16 hour days depending on caseload, all days of week.

No cost, but please don’t bring animals. On site in intern/extern home. Kitchen available.
