A private poultry exclusive veterinary clinic serving turkey, chicken and game bird clients throughout the upper midwest. We also have an internal diagnostic lab that conduct food safety compliance testing. Blue House veterinary also conducts reseach trials in the experimental facility and produces custom vaccines for clients.
Blue House Veterinary also works closely with several large integrators who can provide additional field experience within an integrated food system.
1 full time veterinarian, 2 full time veterinary technicians, several part time/student employees. Well stocked labortory and experimental facility.
Student will directly shadow the veterianrian or a veterinarian partner from one of the integrated systems. Some time will be spent assisting in the lab and experimental facility. Being a private practice hours can be variable. Expect 40 hrs per week, Monday thru Friday. Typically starting at 6:30am and ending 2:30pm ish.
Student is welcome to stay with the veterinarians family. Cost is zero. Pets are a maybe as we already have a zoo here.
