Description of Elective Experience:
Shadow specialty services (Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Radiology, Surgery, Oncology) during appointments and procedures.
Diadactic teaching, Journal Club, Grand Rounds, etc with interns on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Large multi-specialty hospital with strong technical support; in house labratory, radiology, ultrasound, CT, endoscopy, dialysis, mechanical ventillation, fluoroscopy
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Shadow services M-F
No on call or after hours is expected
