Description of Elective Experience:
Students will shadow clinicians in all aspects of their day with hands on experience at the discretion of the attending clinican. Experiences include participation in daily appointments and client communications, treatments and procedures, case discussions and treatment decisions.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Our hospital is staffed by multiple board-certified veterinary specialists and emergency clinicians along with a team of skilled veterinary technicians. We have an on-site CT scanner, ultrasound, and C-Arm.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Weekly schedules will vary depending on the service however we typically expect at least 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. Students will have hands on experiences at the discretion of the attending clinician.
