Each internship/externship is individual to the student and may have a variation of time and skill requirements. We will do our best to provide you with an individual schedule that meets your requirements. Our facility is open 24 hours a day and offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your school requirements. BluePearl internship/externship is an unpaid program which provides maximum learning opportunity.
All students are required to complete an Emergency Contact Form prior to beginning an internship/externship. All students will be given a tour of the facility and an overview of basic safety procedures to ensure a positive and safe experience with BluePearl. Students requiring a rotation of 20 hours or more will be required to attend Orientation. Orientation will last approximately 2 hours and includes an OSHA Video. The OSHA video will provide a more in depth review of our specific safety standards that could arise during a lengthy internship/externship.

Most externships range from one to three weeks with usually one week per department. Our doctors try very hard to work around your schedule. Because most services have one clinician, we find it necessary to change an externship schedule without prior notice; therefore, it is important to be flexible when choosing services and dates
