Description of Elective Experience:
We are a 12 doctor practice and try to offer a variety of learning opportunities tailored to individual desires. We typically have students spend their mornings in surgery and afternoons in wellness and sick patient visits. Additionally, students may accompany us on a visit to one of the rescues we work with, or opt to take a weekday off and see urgent care cases on Saturday or Sunday.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
With 12 doctors we offer a variety of experiences and most of the up to date equipment. Our radiographs and ultrasound are reviewed by a boarded radiologist.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
5 days per week, 8 hours per day. If a student has special time requirements or needs slightly alternative scheduling, we can usually acclimate. We are open 7a-9p m-f, 8a-8p sat, and 8-6 sun.
