Description of Elective Experience:
Busy 4 DVM practice interacting with clients, surgery, preventative, diagnostics, internal medicine cases, emergency cases & dentistry.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Digital x-rays, in-house lab, dental x-rays, ultrasound, 3:1 support staff (per DVM) - technicians, veterinary assitants, kennel attendants, customer service representatives
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
I expect students to be at the clinic during the hours that my DVMs will be there - typically 35-40 hours each week. My expectation is for them to be involved, discuss cases & scrub in for surgeries to assist and/or perform basic spay/neuters under my supervision.
Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info):
Pet friendly house with bedroom & bath. Contact will be the same as the elective contact.
