Description of Elective Experience: 

The goal of the externship is to provide students with a full understanding of the internship offered and to further explore a career in performance horse medicine and general practice.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

Externs are expected to assist interns in all treatments and after hours emergency and treatments. They will spend normal work day hours working with all doctors within the practice to experience all aspects of the practice.

Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info): 

Free student housing on-site at clinic, no pets. 

Housing is provided at the hospital. We have bedrooms with provided bedding, two bathrooms and a fully functional kitchen.
