Description of Elective Experience: 

If you are considering a career in small animal medicine in a progressive
practice, come spend some time with the our team in Fulton, MO! We are a
two-doctor practice with a strong support staff that has previously hosted
many veterinary students and will provide you with an excellent learning
opportunity. We enjoy an interesting medical and surgical caseload while
equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, therapy laser and in-house laboratory.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

Physical exams
Formulate treatment plans
Diagnostic interpretation
Primary surgeon - spay/neuter
Assisting surgeon
Dentistry - prophylaxis & extractions
Client communication
Obtaining medical histories
Anesthesia planning & monitoring
Maintain medical records
