Description of Elective Experience: 

- Student will participate in a busy mixed animal general practice.  Services offered include, but are not limited to, general surgery, annual appointments, sick animal appointments, and large animal calls as available.  Hands on participation is encouraged in all procedures, up to the student's comfort level.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.: 

- 3 veterinarians and 7 support staff for a 5 day work week schedule.  Idexx CBC and Chemistry, Digital X-ray, general practice set-up.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

- Student is encouraged to participate/shadow doctors during appointmants and surgery.  Depending on comfort level of student, hands on appointments and surgeries are available under supervision.  Hours are flexible, small animal office is open 7A - 6P, 5 days a week.  Ambition of student determines experience gained and schedule
