Description of Elective Experience:
Small animal practice - observe and participate/contribute to a wide variety of clinical material
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
5 days per week min x 10 hours per day, shadowing and practicing clinical skills such as blood draws, catheter placement, urinary catheterization and cystocentesis, administering medications, observing consults and assisting with diagnostic workups of cases, watching a variety of surgical procedures and practicing minor surgical procedures
