Externship at a six doctor, feline only practice under the supervision of Dr. Elaine Wexler-Mitchell, ABVP feline practice. The student will be involved with feline internal medicine and surgical cases.
The practice is high tech with digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, ultrasound, class 4 cold laser, in house laboratory. There is a support staff of 28 including seven R.V.T.'s.
Student will work 5-6 days a week alongside the staff veterinarians and board certified practice owner and assist with office calls, hospitalized patients, and surgeries. The amount of hands on experience will be based on the student's individual skills. History taking, physical exams, rule out formulation, treatment plan creation, and client communication will all be part of the student's duties
