Description of Elective Experience: 

Students will begin by observing clinic protocol, move to participating in patient restraint and care. Cases will be discussed from examination through diagnostics, reassessments, treatments, and follow up.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.: 

Students will have access to the veterinarians 8 hours per day, support staff is available to assist during the student's scheduled shift as well. Digital X-ray, dentistry units, etc. in use. Also a full textbook and journal library and computer access to VIN available.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

Students will begin by observing clinic protocol, move to participating in patient restraint and care. Cases will be discussed from examination through diagnostics, reassessments, treatments, and follow up. Students will also assist in surgeries.
