Description of Elective Experience:
Cedar Animal Hospital is a 6 doctor small animal practice with urgent care hours located north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are offering to pay for 7-14 of hotel stay at a Holiday Inn Express less than 1 mile from the practice for senior externship students.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
We have digital radiography, 2020 Premier ultra sound, large exotic case load, dental radiography, in house Idexx blood chemistry and CBC, video monitor multi-viewing microscope, orthopedic surgery, and extensive soft tissue surgery.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Hours and days of externship to be determined by students individual preference, ie: all Urgent Care, all routine day practice, surgery or combination.
Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info):
Cedar Animal Hospital is offering to pay for 7-14 nights at local Holiday Inn Express.
