Out externship is a well rounded experience encompassing time on a variety of specialties including but not limited to Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Neurology, and ECC. Behavior and Sports Medicine/Rehabilitation are also available. The extern will be expected to attend daily rounds and participate in case workup under esteemed guidance.
CVRC is a VECCS Level III Hospital with ventilator, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy capabilities. We are staffed 24/7 with licensed and speciality nurses.
Students are expected to attend daily morning rounds and participate in a variety of cases whether speaking with clients, formulating a treatment plan, researching a disease process, etc. hours vary depending on service but are flexible depending on University requirements. The extern will never be unsupervised.
