Description of Elective Experience: 

We will be traveling as a team with the North Carolina Veterinary students to the Navajo Reservation.  There we serve as their only veterinarian all year.  We will be spaying and neutering and vaccinating small animals, as well as vaccinating, preg checking, and deworming sheep/goats/cattle, and floating and vaccinating and deworming horses.

We travel with all the equipment we need.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

Everything!  There are 3 veterinarians to supervise, but the students do the surgery, vaccinations, and the animal care.  As well as the client communications.

Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info): 

We will all be staying together in churches, houses, etc.
